Common Engine Damage
Blown Head Gasket
Your engine’s head gasket is what allows it to contract and expand at different temperatures. If your engine overheats for a prolonged period of time, your head gasket will likely fail. In the industry, this is known as blowing your head gasket. Symptoms include white smoke coming from your exhaust, poor performance, excess coolant consumption, and poor fuel economy. At Chuck’s Truck Service Centre, we’ll rebuild your engine with a new gasket and get you back out on the road as soon as possible.
Flattened Camshaft Lobes
If your camshafts and rocker arms aren’t properly lubricated, your cam lobes may end up getting flattened. When this happens, your entire valve system is thrown out of whack. At Chuck’s Truck Service Centre, we’ll fix your camshafts, resolve your lubrication problems, and get you back out on the road as soon as possible.
