Common Coolant System Issues
Fan Clutch
Fan clutches are designed to engage and disengage your cooling fan when necessary. This clutch allows your engine to heat up faster by keeping the fan disengaged until the engine reaches an adequate temperature. Common problems with fan clutches include their inability to either disengage or engage the fan. If the fan won’t engage, your engine will overheat. If it refuses to disengage, you’re likely going to struggle to start your engine. At Chuck’s Truck Service Centre, we fix both issues.
Plugged Radiator
A plugged radiator is by far one of the most common causes of an overheating heavy-duty engine. As coolant gets older, debris may start to build up in certain areas within your radiator, which in turn blocks flow and lessens the amount of heat that’s dispersed. At Chuck’s Truck Service Centre, we see this problem all the time and are more than equipped to deal with it. You can rest assured knowing we’ll have your radiator repaired in no time at all.
